SHELTER AND AGRO-GREENS LAUNCH NEW MEDICAL CANNABIS PLATFORM
Shelter Market Brings Compassionate Pricing and Exclusive Medical Access to Craft Cannabis to Patients Across Canada
VICTORIA, BC — March 17, 2020 — 1193269 BC Ltd., doing business as Shelter Cannabis (“Shelter”) is proud to announce that Health Canada licensed producer Agro-greens is launching a new platform for medical patients under the name Shelter Market.
Shelter Market will provide high quality, low-cost cannabis to legal medical consumers. Their initial offerings will include dried flower in 1, 3.5, 5, 10g amounts. Pre-rolls will be sold as singles, and in packs of 3 and 4. “We plan on extending that offering quite a bit in the coming weeks,” said Jamie Shaw, Director of Communications and Culture for Shelter, “but we felt it was important to launch now, as we have some really great cannabis, and we want to make sure medical consumers have affordable access to it as soon as possible.” She added that they aim to have larger sizes and more varied formats available by the end of the month. Vape pens and other forms of cannabis will become available as licence amendments allow.
The company aims to offer cannabis for as close to cost as possible, will have an additional compassionate pricing program, and will provide exclusive medical access to products from micro-cultivators as they begin entering the market. Saskatchewan producer Organic North 40’s first harvest of Green Cush and Blue Cheese will be among the offerings available immediately upon launch.
“I put a lot of care into my growing, its small batch, non-irradiated cannabis grown without pesticides or fungicides, said Gord Nichol of North 40, “and I’m really genuinely pleased that medical patients will have access to it at less-than-rec prices.” Other specialty producers coming to Shelter Market soon will include BC’s Rubicon Organics, and Habitat’s sustainable aquaponic cannabis, neither of which are currently available to medical consumers.
“Patients have been tragically underserved in Canada,” said Mark Hauk, CEO of Shelter, “but we look forward to changing that. For us, it’s always been patients first. It’s who we are. It’s where we came from.”
Patients can begin registration at sheltermarket.ca as of today. The Shelter Market site officially launches tomorrow.
