Shelter Craft Collective Facilitates Packaging and Distribution Agreement Between Agro-Greens and Verte West

Farmstead Introduces a New Craft Cannabis Cultivator to Consumers

VICTORIA, BC — September 4, 2020 — Shelter Craft Collective, a division of 1193269 BC Ltd., doing business as Shelter Cannabis (“Shelter”) is pleased to announce a packaging and distribution agreement between Agro-Greens Natural Products Ltd. (“Agro-Greens”) and Verte West Industries Limited (Verte West).

Based in the Cowichan Valley, Verte West brings generations of agricultural experience and decades of cannabis excellence to the legal market. Tyler Hass first began cultivating cannabis under a medical license when his brother was left paralyzed by an accident. Seeing the relief his brother got from cannabis encouraged him to begin growing for other patients as well. In 2016, Tyler along with his brothers Derek and Brent, and partner Erik founded Verte West.

“We have a Standard Cultivation licence because there was no Micro license when we first applied,” says Hass. “But we didn’t let that change the way we grow. We really emphasize a hands-on approach, we have seven small flower rooms (with 12 foot ceilings so there’s no plant height restrictions), smaller harvests, we hand-trim, we just don’t ever want to expand past the point where we can’t do it ourselves.”

Farmstead will be providing Verte West’s GG#4, and their flagship cultivar Cafe Racer to wholesalers in the coming weeks in 3.5g, 7.0g, 14.0g, and 28.0g formats, and following up with Canuck Cookies and Green Kush. Preroll formats are also expected to be available in the coming weeks. Farmstead’s Verte West products will also be available to medical consumers through Shelter Market.

“Verte West really embodies  the meaning of craft to me,” said Kyp Rowe, Business Development Lead for Shelter Craft Collective. “They are family-owned and operated, have been part of the cannabis community for a long time, built their site from the ground up, and haven’t let going legal change them, they just want to grow good cannabis.”
